Get up and get moving with this morning stretch routine. I find I'm always very stiff in the morning when I wake up, and I find this sort of sequence really helpful for getting my day started. We will try to loosen up the shoulders, chest, spine, and hips, as well as bring some strength into the legs and arms. So, in other words, we will just get everything moving! This is more of a flow style classes, with lots of back and forth from the floor to standing, and movement through Downward Facing Dog and Plank.
Equipment: I use blocks to help me step forward and back, but you don't need them. They can just be rather helpful, especially in the morning when I feel the most reduced in my range of motion.
My Spotify recommendation: The UK producer/DJ Bonobo has long been a favourite of mine. Ever since he dropped his album Migration in 2017, it's been a staple during my movement practices.
